Background
I grew up in the delta region of Egypt in a small farming community
with my family. I thus speak colloquial Egyptian fluently and can communicate
verbally and culturally very well in this environment. I also lived in Cairo
from 1970 to 1980 while going to school and working. From my experience
living in both the countryside and in Cairo, I am able to go between these
two environments easily. I have been in the United States since 1981, living
in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I have years of experience as an Arabic teacher in the U.S as well as
experience as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language in Egypt. |

Previous Projects
I have worked on various projects, ranging from translating technical scientific
documents and architectural plans to interpreting for officers for the USAID
working in the countryside of Egypt. |
